Elvis Costello - Oliver's Army


On this date in 1979, Elvis Costello released his eleventh single, "Oliver's Army". It was backed by "My Funny Valentine". The A side appeared on his third studio album, Armed Forces. The B side was a non-LP track which was added as a bonus track on a subsequent CD re-release. The single reached the #2 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk/new wave singer is still recording and performing.
