Dexys Midnight Runners - Plan B


On this date in 1981, Dexys Midnight Runners released their fifth single, "Plan B". The B side was an instrumental called "Soul Finger". The A side appeared on their second album, Too-Rye-Ay. The B side did not. The single reached the #58 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Birmingham, England new wave band went through several lineup changes, the last of which survived until 1986. Lead singer Kevin Rowland and guitarist Al Adams were former members of punk band The Killjoys.
