The Clash - Clash City Rockers


On this date in 1978, The Clash released their fourth single, "Clash City Rockers". It was backed by "Jail Guitar Doors". Neither track was included on their self-titled U.K. debut album but both were included on the U.S. version released in 1979. The single reached the #35 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk band disbanded in 1986. Mick Jones formed Big Audio Dynamite. Joe Strummer was involved in many projects until his death in 2002.
