The Waitresses - Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful?


On this date in 1982, The Waitresses released their debut album, Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful? It contained their 1980 single, "I Know What Boys Like". The Waitresses were a new wave band who originally formed in Ohio but moved to New York to gain exposure and a contract. They disbanded in 1983. Singer Patty Donahue died of lung cancer on December 9, 1996 at the age of 40.
