The Undertones - Get Over You

On this date in 1979, The Undertones released their second 7 inch record. It was fronted by "Get Over You". It was backed by "Really Really" and "She Can Only Say No". The A side appeared on their self-titled debut album. The B side tracks did not but both were added as bonus tracks when the album was re-released on CD. The single reached the #57 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Derry, Northern Ireland punk/post-punk band disbanded in 1983 when singer Feargal Sharkey left. He went solo and Sean and Damian O'Neill formed That Petrol Emotion. The Undertones re-formed in 1999 without lead singer Feargal Sharkey.
