The Stranglers - Thrown Away

On this date in 1982, The Stranglers released their fifteenth single, "Thrown Away". It was backed by "Top Secret". The A side appeared on their fifth studio album, The Gospel According To The Meninblack. The B side was a non-LP track that appeared as a bonus track on a subsequent CD re-release. The single reached the #42 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Surrey, England punk/post punk band is still performing and recording, though without original lead singer, Hugh Cornwell, who left in 1990.
