Spandau Ballet - The Freeze


On this date in 1981, Spandau Ballet released their second single, "The Freeze". It was backed by an instrumental version of the lead track. The A side appeared on their debut album, Journeys To Glory. The single reached the #17 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London new wave band disbanded in 1990.

Hi there - I just recently listened to this song on my ipod from my spandau gold collection. As I was listening to it though, it sort of sounded like one of a more recent songs I've heard. Was it recently revived?

The first thing that came to mind was Franz Ferdinand but they didn't remake this song.
