The Modern Lovers - The Morning Of Our Lives


On this date in 1978, The Modern Lovers released their fifth single, "The Morning Of Our Lives". The B side was "Roadrunner (thrice)". The A side was a live track that appeared on their fourth album, Modern Lovers Live. The B side was a third version of their classic which was their first single and had appeared on their debut album, The Modern Lovers. The protopunk band from Boston, Massachusetts, led by Jonathan Richman, once included Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads) and David Robinson (The Cars). The band no longer exists but Jonathan Richman is still performing.
