Madness - The Return Of The Los Palmas 7

On this date in 1981, Madness released their eighth single, "The Return Of The Los Palmas 7". It was backed by "That's The Way To Do It". The A side appeared on their second album, Absolutely, though it was a different cut. The B side was a non-LP track. The 12 inch version offered two other tracks, a demo of "My Girl" and a live version of "Swan Lake", two songs that appeared as finished studio versions on their debut, One Step Beyond. The single reached the #7 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London ska band called it quits in 1986 but re-formed in 1992 and continues on.
