The Jam - A Town Called Malice

|

On this date in 1982, The Jam released their eighteenth single, "A Town Called Malice". It was backed by "Precious". Both tracks appeared on their sixth album, The Gift. It became the third #1 single in the U.K. for the Woking, England punk/mod band. They would call it quits by year's end. They have not played together since disbanding in 1982 though Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler have toured together as The Jam since. Paul Weller has no interest in the revival.

There is also a 12" mix of 'Precious' that is very good. Seek it out!
