Gen X - 4

On this date in 1981, Gen X, as Generation X was now being called, re-released their seventh single, "Dancing With Myself" as a 12 inch, four song EP. Also included was "Untouchables", "Rock On" and "King Rocker". The first two tracks were from their third album, Kiss Me Deadly. The last track was from their second album, Valley Of The Dolls. "Rock On" was a non-LP track. The EP reached the #60 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk band was formed by Billy Idol, Tony James and John Towe, all of whom left punk band Chelsea before it was time to record. The London punk band would break up soon after this release
