The Waitresses - I Know What Boys Like


On this date in 1980, The Waitresses released their debut single, "I Know What Boys Like". It was backed by "No Guilt" on some versions and "It's My Car" on others. All three tracks appeared on their debut album, Wasn't Tomorrow Wonderful? The Waitresses were a new wave band who originally formed in Ohio but moved to New York to gain exposure and a contract. They disbanded in 1983. Singer Patty Donahue died of lung cancer on December 9, 1996 at the age of 40.
