On this date in 1980, Legionaire's Disease released their debut single, "Downtown". It was backed by "Rather See You Dead (Than With Wool On Your Head)". The Houston, Texas punk band moved to San Francisco later and their sound had a more hardcore punk flavor to it. Neither of these tracks appeared on an album by the band.
