On this date in 1978, The Fall released their second single, "It's The New Thing". It was backed by "Various Times". Neither track appeared on their debut album, Live At The Witch Trials (which was not a live album), though the U.S. version of the album did include "Various Times". Both tracks were included as bonuses on a subsequent CD re-release. The Manchester, England post punk band still records and performs. Mark E Smith is the only original member.
