On this date in 1980, The Misfits released their fifth record, a three song 7-inch record called Night Of The Living Dead. Aside from the title track, the record also included "Where Eagles Dare" and "Rat Fink". None of the tracks appeared on an album, the first of which was not released until 1982. The Lodi, NJ horror punk band disbanded in 1983 after the departure of lead singer and founder Glenn Danzig. They re-formed in 1995 without Danzig.

It's interesting how this great band have now become a brand of skateboard runner!! I think Jerry Only went a bit mad with the merch side of things when he won the rights to tour as The Misfits.... it all seems pretty pointless without Mr Danzig!! ....the b side of this Rat Fink is a gem!!
