On this date in 1982, Men Without Hats released their debut full-length album, Rhythm Of Youth. It included the singles, "The Safety Dance" (#3 U.S., #6 U.K.), "I Like", "Living In China" and "I Got The Message". The new wave band from Montreal, Canada disbanded in 1992.

I remember finding a rare copy of this CD back in 1995 in a record store in Memphis. It was originally released on Statik Records out of France and only 2,000 copies were made. I nearly fell out when I saw it sitting there in the row of CDs for sale. I ended up selling it in Goldmine Magazine for $500.00. It was my greatest rare CD score ever.
