Culture Club - Kissing To Be Clever

On this date in 1982, Culture Club released their debut album, Kissing To Be Clever. It contained remade versons of previous singles, "White Boy" and "I'm Afraid of Me" (#100 U.K.) plus "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" (#1 U.K., #2 U.S.) and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya" (#9 U.S.). The album, itself, reached the #2 spot on the U.K. albums chart and the #14 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The London, England new wave band lasted until 1986. They re-formed in 1998 and the second union lasted four years.
