On this date in 1980, Madness released their sixth single, "Baggy Trousers". It was backed by "The Business". The A Side appeared on their second album, Absolutely. The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #3 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London ska band called it quits in 1986 but re-formed in 1992 and is still intact.
