The B-52's - Rock Lobster

On this date in 1979, The B-52's released their first single in the U.K., "Rock Lobster". It was backed by an instrumental version of "Running Around". The A side appeared on their self-titled debut album. The B side, as an instrumental, did not. The single reached the #37 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Athens, Georgia new wave quintet was reduced to a foursome after the death of Ricky Wilson but have continued on. They just released a new album.
