On this date in 1980, Athletico Spizz 80 released their seventh single (under various band names), "Central Park". It was backed by another version of "Central Park". The A side appeared on their second album, Spikey Dream Flowers (which was released under the band name of The Spizzles). They were, during their career, known as various names, including Spizzoil, Spizzenergi, Athletico Spizz 80, The Spizzles and Spizzenergi:2. The English punk/new wave band effectively disbanded in 1982 but has gotten together on and off since then (under various names).
