On this date in 1981, The Hugh Beaumont Experience released their only EP, Cone Johnson. It was a four track EP that had "Zyklon B", "Where'd You Go Sid", "Money Means So Much To Me" and "Charity" as its offerings. They did not release a vinyl album but put out Virgin Killers on cassette which had an A side of live tracks and a B side of studio tracks recorded with Bob Mould of Husker Du. The formed in Fort Worth, Texas as a teenage band (14-16 year olds) whose reputation as a punk act was renowned across the state. King Coffee, later of The Butthole Surfers, was a member after this EP.
