On this date in 1982, Blitz released their third 7-inch record (and second pure single), "Warriors". It was backed by "Youth". The A side appeared on their debut album, Voice Of A Generation. The B side was a non-LP track which was added as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. The single reached the #2 spot on the U.K. indie singles chart. The Derbyshire, England punk/Oi! band went through numerous lineup changes which it survived but the band's end came abruptly when its only original member, guitarist Nidge Miller, was struck by a car and died in 2007.

Nice little single this... Blitz had a weird ( dare I say it ) progressive sound for the genre of bands they were lumbered with - even the jump between ALL OUT ATTACK and NEW AGE is a considerable one. THE KILLING DREAM album in the late 80's was pretty pointless though.
