Dexys Midnight Runners - Show Me

On this date in 1981, Dexy's Midnight Runners released their sixth single, "Show Me". It was backed by "Soon". As they did not release any albums in 1981, and their sound had changed by 1982's Too-Rye-Ay, neither song was included on an album, though the A side was added as a bonus on Too-Rye-Ay on a CD re-release. The single reached the #16 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Birmingham, England new wave band disbanded in 1986. Lead singer Kevin Rowland and guitarist Al Adams were former members of punk band The Killjoys.
