On this date in 1979, The Pretenders released their second single, "Kid". It was backed by "Tatooed Love Boys". Both tracks appeared on their self-titled debut album. The single reached the #33 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Hereford, England punk/new wave band still records and performs.
