MDC

On this date, MDC released their self-titled debut album. The MDC stood for Millions Of Dead Cops. The Los Angeles, California hardcore punk band had relocated from Austin, Texas where they were known as The Stains. "John Wayne Was A Nazi", originally recorded and released by The Stains, was re-recorded and included on the MDC album. The band kept changing their name but were always known as "MDC". Among the names that the band went by were More Dead Cops, Millions of Deformed Children and Multi-Death Corporations...and, of course, for this album...Millions Of Dead Cops. They disbanded in 1995 but have become active in recent years.
