On this date in 1979, Devo released their second full length album, Duty Now For The Future. It contained the singles, "Secret Agent Man" and "The Day My Baby Gave Me A Surprize". The album reached the #49 spot on the U.K. albums chart and the #73 spot on the U.S. albums chart. Nice lead. thank you so SO much.
Mark Mothersbaugh does the music for dozens of TV shows.
Very talented man, he is.
I got the Dev2.0 CD/DVD where they got a 'band' of kids to mime to new versions of 12 or so Devo classics. All the music was played by Devo but the girl sings real lead vocals and is quite good and was a good way to hear great Devo songs with female vox. Many fans would cringe but it's challenging and not as bad as it sounds. CN
