X - Wild Gift

On this date in 1981, X released their second album, Wild Gift. It contained the single "Adult Books" and "White Girl". "Adult Books", however, was a different version than the single. While neither the album nor singles charted, the album was listed by Rolling Stone as one of the top 500 albums of all time. The Los Angeles punk band disbanded in 1993 but has performed as a group occasionally since.
