We're slackers...

We don't update The P5 every day like we used to. So when we slack off, just use the search box up there on the right. Yeah, the red box, that's it. Search The P5 Archives. You'll be glad you did.

The Neon Boys

|

In April of 1980, The Neon Boys released a five song EP that included both new and old material. "Time" and "Don't Die" were new Richard Hell solo tracks. "That's All I Know (Right Now) ", "Love Comes In Spurts" and "High Heeled Wheels" were tracks recorded in 1973 by The Neon Boys, a group which included Richard Hell and Tom Verlaine prior to their formation of New York proto punk band Television. "Time" would appear on Richard Hell's next solo album, Destiny Street, but it was a re-worked version.

Thank you very much for uploading this rare jewel! This is the final proof that punk (musically) had existed before The Ramones or -ahem- The Sex Pistols!
