On this date in 1980, Blondie released their tenth single, "Sunday Girl". It was backed by "I Know But I Don't Know". Both songs appeared on their third album, Parallel Lines. The 12 inch single also offered a French version of "Sunday Girl" which was a non-LP track. The single was their second to reach the #1 spot on the U.K. singles chart. It did not, however, chart in the U.S. The New York City punk/new wave band broke up in 1982 but they re-formed in 1998.
