On this date in 1980, Young Marble Giants released their only album, Colossal Youth. There were no singles released from the album. The Cardiff, Wales post punk band released one album and two EP's before disbanding in 1981. Philip Moxham was later in The Communards and Everything But The Girl.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
