On this date in 1981, Way Of The West released their debut single, "Don't Sat That's Just For White Boys". The B side was "Prove It". The English new wave band released five singles by 1984 but disappeared before releasing an album.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
