About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.

there aren't enough adjectives in the english language to describe how good this album is. in some ways, it's the most important record of their career if only for the fact that the band broke from punk-oik orthodoxy by messing about with dub, heavy rock and metal. every song on the record is a stunner. guns'n'roses covered the song down on the farm, which was taken off this album. thank god charlie harper got a raise!
Nicely done, Bryan!
Thanks.
