On this date in 1982, Thomas Dolby released his fourth single, "Radio Silence". It was backed by "radio Silence (version)". The A side appeared on his debut album, The Golden Age Of Wireless. The London new wave musician was a previous member of Bruce Woolley and The Camera Club as well as The Fallout Club prior to his solo career. He also wrote "New Toy" for Lene Lovich. After some time off, he has recently started performing again.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
Disclaimer: The P5 DOES NOT post music files online.
