On this date in 1981, Slow Children released their third single, "Talk About Horses". It was backed by "Ticket To France". The A side appeared on their self-titled debut album. The B side was a non-LP track that was added as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. The new wave band was originally from Los Angeles but moved to England to concentrate on their songwriting. They released two albums by 1982 but that was it.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
