On this date in 1977, The Ramones re-released their second album, Ramones Leave Home, without the song "Carbona Not Glue". The Carbona company was suing the Ramones for use of the Carbona name and the association of their cleaning fluid product with dangerous drug abuse. The Ramones replaced the song with a previous B side, "Babysitter" first. Then, the album was changed again and "Babysitter" was replaced by "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker".

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
Disclaimer: The P5 DOES NOT post music files online.
