On this date in 1982, Josef K re-released their debut single, "Chance Meeting". It was backed by "Pictures (Of Cindy)". The A side was a re-mixed version of the original release. None of the tracks appeared on their only album (while together). They had cut an album called Sorry For Laughing but it wasn't released until 1990. "Chance Meeting" appeared on that album. The Edinburgh, Scotland post-punk band disbanded in 1981.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement.
