About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.

Disclaimer: The P5 DOES NOT post music files online.
We simply link to the many great music blogs that already do.

Glaxo Babies - This Is Your Life

On this date in 1979, Glaxo Babies released their debut EP, This Is Your Life. Aside from the title track, it also included "Stay Awake", "Because Of You" and "Who Killed Bruce Lee?". All four tracks appeared on their second album, Put Me On The Guest List, though "Who Killed Bruce Lee?" was not the same version that appeared on the EP. The Bristol, England post punk band disbanded in 1981. Dan Catsis joined The Pop Group and, later, Maximum Joy with another former Glaxo Babies member, Charlie Llewelyn.
