On this date in 1981, The Flying Lizards released their fifth single, "Hands 2 Take". It was backed by an instrumental called "Continuity". The A side appeared on their second album, Fourth Wall. The B side was a non-LP track. The London experimental post punk band disbanded in 1984.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
