On this date in 1981, Cockney Rejects released their a life EP called Easy Life. It was a 7 inch with "Easy Life" on the A side and "Motorhead" and "Hang 'em High" on the B side. All three songs appeared live on their third album, Greatest Hits Vol 3 - Live & Loud (which was, in fact, NOT a greatest hits album. Their first three albums were called "Greatest Hits" with sequentially numbered volumes). The London Oi! band continues to record and perform.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
