On this date in 1982, Classix Nouveaux released their eighth single, "Becuase You're Young". It was backed by "It's Not Too Late". The A side appeared on their second album, La Verite. The B side was a non-LP track that was added as a bonus when the album was re-released on CD. The single reached the #43 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London post punk/new wave band was formed when formed after Jak Airport and BP Hurding left X-Ray Spex. They disbanded in 1985.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
Disclaimer: The P5 DOES NOT post music files online.
