On this date in 1982, The Church released their second album, The Blurred Crusade. It contained the singles, "Almost With You" (#21 Australia) and "When You Were Mine". The Sydney, Australia post-punk band first found worldwide recognition in 1988 with "Under The Milky Way". The band moved towards progressive rock by the end of the '80's. They are still together.

About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.
