About: The original Post Punk Progressive Pop Party (The P5) aired every Saturday night on 88.7FM WVHC (now WRHU) Radio Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Back in 1978, WVHC was among the first outlets (public or commercial) in the United States to promote what became the New Wave movement. This blog is a tribute to that show and all of the great music it exposed us to.

Disclaimer: The P5 DOES NOT post music files online.
We simply link to the many great music blogs that already do.

Abrasive Wheels - The Army Song EP

On this date in 1982, Abrasive Wheels released their debut EP, The Army Song EP. It contained the tracks, "The Army Song", "Juvenile" and "So Slow". None of the tracks appeared on their debut album, When The Punks Go Marching In, but all three were added as bonus tracks when the album was re-released on CD. The Leeds, England punk band disbanded in 1984.
