Max's Kansas City No More


On this date in 1982, Max's Kansas City closed its doors for good. The New York City Club, located at 213 Park Avenue South, had originally opened on December 6, 1965. From artists like The Velvet Underground to The New York Dolls, Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers, Wayne County, The Ramones, Blondie, The Misfits and The B-52's, the club constantly promoted new and exciting acts.
