On this date in 1979, The Greedies released their debut single, "A Merry Jingle". It was backed by "A Merry Jangle". The band consisted of Steve Jones and Paul Cook, ex-Sex Pistols, and three members of Thin Lizzy; Phil Lynott, Brian Downey and Scott Gorham.
