The Post Punk Progressive Pop Party

The P5 is DEAD! It stands as a piece of 80's music history on the web. To prevent spam, your COMMENTS WILL NO LONGER BE POSTED!

Old links may no longer work, and NO we will NOT fix them. The P5 DOES NOT upload, post, host or share music files online. Please Tell Us...

I want to clean up the format of this website. With all the album covers, videos, archives, links, etc it takes awhile for the page to load. I'm sure it has to do with the YouTube videos.

The P5 wants to know:
A) Are you guys experiencing any problems with this site?
B) Do you guys watch the videos?
C) Should we stop posting videos?
D) Should we just show the link to the videos?
E) Besides video, is there any other feature we should add or remove?
F) Just leave the damn thing alone?

I, for one, don't very frequently watch the videos as I have seen most of them that I care about on VH1 Classic. I think a link to the videos would be better.

Although I have high speed internet, it isn't always functioning great in this house with old wiring. So the images (which I like) sometimes take a second fiddle to the videos...

Ditto the video link; still this site loads faster and navigates quicker than Great site! keep up te gopod work.

Thanks for this site! I don't watch the videos myself, but I sure appreciate the links, the thumbnail reviews of bands, and all the hard work you're putting into 5P.

First, let me just say thank you for such a wonderful site. Loading hassles aside, I keep coming back for more :)

Anyway, yeah, I'll agree with those who posted above that the videos are probably a bit unnecessary - I think we all just come here for the fun facts and the links. Any vids we're interested we can find pretty easily ourselves on YouTube.

Again, kudos for all your hardwork. I hope it continues.

I come every day and I don't know how many of the videos I've watched (as compared to how many images I've saved and links I've followed.) However, I've always considered the videos a part of the charm of the site. I could see just posting the links as a solution.
Either way it's always a pleasure to visit.

I seldom watch the videos, but having the liknks WOULD be nice! I can't number the sites that I have found here and now check daily. You both do an incredible, marvelous job on this site!

Whatever TV I watch is broadcast, so I don't really get to see the videos normally. I like them, but it looks like I'm in the minority. If they have to go, please keep the links. Love the site. More Cherry Red stuff would be good, but I'm not complaining.

hi, no problem with your blog, post only the link it would be faster perhaps, personnaly if I have a doubt with the band or if I don't know it I watch the vidz. But keep on doing a good job and post good stuff.

less videos.

maybe just post a link to the videos, as you do with the mp3?

still a wonderful blog, whatever you do.

On occasion I watch the videos. I like your idea of linking to them. By the way, thanks again for all you do here.

Well...I'm satisfied that the feedback received so far will be representative of the opinion of the masses so...just links for the videos going forward.
By the way, there were a lot of kind words being thrown in our direction and we appreciate it!

A) No problem

E) No
F) It's another good idea

Thanks Nicolas!
We started using video links rather than the actual videos with today's post. Slowly but surely, we will double back to change the past videos to links in order to speed up the site.

..leave the damn thing alone...
..any hassle is only a minor irritant..
..what's important is to continue whatever you're doing..
..keep it up !!!

Thanks Kurt!
We are linking any videos we "post" so that the site opens quicker.

Thanks for your excellent work! Keep on with it. With the load of information and warm nostalgic feelings I get from visiting here, I sureley can wait a second longer until everything shows up. But linking to videos is certainly a good idea!

Yes the page loading is sometime slow. Personally I rarely watch the video, so a link could be enough.
And thank you for your great job !
