Pearl Harbor and The Explosions - Drivin'

On this date in 1979, Pearl Harbor and The Explosions released their debut single, "Drivin'". It was backed by "Release It". Both tracks appeared on their self-titled debut album. The new wave band hailed from San Francisco. Lead singer Pearl Harbour (the new spelling of her name) moved to England to focus on her new love, rockabilly. She was married to Paul Simonon of The Clash later on.
