New Order - Movement

On this date in 1981, New Order released their debut album, Movement. No singles were released from the album. The album reached the #30 spot on the U.K. albums chart. The Manchester, England post-punk/new wave band rose from the ashes of Joy Division, changing their name to New Order after the suicide of singer Ian Curtis.
