Martha and The Muffins - Women Around The World At Work

|

On this date in 1981, Martha and The Muffins released their eighth single, "Women Around The World At Work". It was backed by "Twenty-Two In Cincinnati". The A side appeared on their third album, This Is The Ice Age. The B side was a non-LP track but was added as a bonus track to the album when it was re-released on CD. The single did not chart in the U.K. or the U.S. but did reach the #24 spot in their native Canada.

Woman Around The World At Work featured on the band's 1981 album 'This is the Ice Age'; their first album produced by Daniel Lanois.

On August 4th, Cherry Red will release the 25th Anniversary Edition of their 1983 album 'Danseparc', which is also produced by Lanois. Danseparc will include three bonus tracks. Check my blog for further details about the Danseparc reissue.
